FILM, ART & DRAG

An Amish Country Queer Special Event

Runtime: 1-1.5 hr

You've heard of Amish country. Bet you didn't expect drag queens.

An award-winning documentary, a photo exhibition celebrating rural LGBTQ+ life, and a homegrown drag show converge in one unforgettable night.

This is your chance to host a night of celebration. Of queer bodies, queer lives, and queer autonomy. Of breaking the binaries and changing the narratives we've been handed about where we can live, whom we can love, and who we can be. Queerness has never been confined to city limits, and this night proves it.

And this is where the future gets made. Not at the center, but at the fringes.

Amish Country Queer

Amish Country Queer is a film about Lancaster's queer nightlife and drag culture, and a story about what it means to be visibly, joyfully, unapologetically queer in a place the world told you wasn't built for you.

The second longest running drag show in Lancaster, PA

The Angel Hour

The Angel Hour is Lancaster's second-longest-running drag show, celebrating five years of glamour and sisterhood, created by Charlize Angelz.

  • Beautiful documentary. They had a series of Brady Pappas’ photos out on display throughout the space which made this extra special. I’m always a big fan of seeing an artist be drawn to a particular medium; Tulle Queer is a stunning series.

    Philadelphia Fringe Fest (Sept. 2026)

  • Wonderful short on a wonderful subject... a fantastic drag show from The Angel Hour drag show (a monthly show at one of my favorite movie theaters, Zoetropolis) and featured a bunch of Brady's incredible photography in large prints on display.
